On August 31, 2023, Garena announced Free Fire India. Free Fire India is a dedicated version of Garena Free Fire for Indian users. The first launch date was 5th September 2023. But one day before the launch of Free Fire India, Garena released an official statement that Free Fire India was not coming on 5th October.
In the official statement, Garena mentioned:
“We are delighted by the overwhelmingly enthusiastic response from our Indian community to the announcement of the launch of Free Fire India.
To ensure we can offer the best possible experience to all of our Free Fire India fans from the start, we will postpone the launch by a few more weeks.
In addition to refining the gameplay, we are taking some time to fully complete our localisation of the Free Fire India experience.
We would like to thank our Free Fire India community for your support, and hope that you will bear with us while we work on bringing you the ultimate battle royale experience.
#FreeFireIndia #Booyah #IndiaKaBattleRoyale”
In the official post, the actual reason behind the postponement was not mentioned. But today, I have got a leak from Free Fire insiders that Free Fire India is coming very soon. I have also got an official banner of the announcement video of Free Fire India. The announcement video will appear on 27th October 2026. The actual date when players can download the game from the Play Store and App Store has not been revealed yet. The actual date will be announced in the announcement video.
As per sources and predictions, Free Fire India will appear with the OB56 update or before that. Please stay tuned for our next update.
